Former central banker Mark Carney sworn in as Canada’s new PM amid barrage of Trump threats
Mark Carney, an experienced former central bank boss, was sworn in on Friday as Canada’s new prime minister. Carney, who is replacing Justin Trudeau, has vowed to take a firm stance against US President Donald Trump who has made a series of threats against Canada, including a bid to make it the “51st state” of the United States.
